Yungaburra Avenue of Rememberance

What a fabulous day today weather wise, also we are now allowed to announce that our daughter
Tania and her partner Manie are expecting their first baby in March 2019 .
Tania sent these few photos through to us . We have known since 14 th July but waited for the first
3 months so we could see scans etc before telling our family and friends.

We took the truck to the weigh station on Sunday . John wanted to check to see if we were under weight which is important when towing our caravan . To our surprise we are under weight, with all the stuff we have in it already. We only need to put my Folkart paints .
John put in 4 large blue plastic water containers which hold each. We have decided to just use 3 of the containers for water and 1 will be used for spare fuel. Photo below is John filling containers with water .
John's brother Glen has a Bower's Shrike Thrush sitting on his finger . The bird flew into a house window . It had only stunned itself . But it was quite happy just resting on Glens finger . It later flew away .
Tania found out the other day the sex of the baby. This is how she announced it .
Got presented with this at work on Thursday . My first excellent badge . It was a lovely surprise .
A customer put my name forward after I had helped her many times with flowers etc for her garden.
The Ramblers branch of the Australian Caravan Club had a muster at Yungaburra at Bonidio RV Park.
This was being held over 5 days so we decided to go and have a change of scenery . Marg still went to work on the Friday and Monday etc just for a few hours .
It was great to met some new members of the club and learn about different places to visit around Aussie .

John's parents had a lift installed today to assist them in getting up stairs and down . What a great asset it will be for them especially when they go shopping not having to carry their groceries up stairs.
Mum using the lift for the first time going up and down . Well done mum . Life will be a lot easier for you.
I have just finished crocheting a cot blanket for Thrupence as Grandad has nicknamed Tania's and Manie's baby due in March. Very pleased with how it has turned out . I'm sure she will have many wonderful dreams when she snuggles under it .
Marg's latest set of plates she has just finished painting for her Christmas collection.
Twelve days of Christmas .Now to find somewhere to store them so I can take them back to NZ
In April 2019 .
I also painted 3 Witches for Halloween . One for our Friend Jimelie who does a fabulous job of decorating her back yard for Halloween ever year . They children so love it.. The witches are over 16 inches high and each very different .
We recently went to Rollingstone for 6 days , with the Cairns caravan a club . We stayed at the Big 4 in Rollinstone on the beach . Cyclone Owen was travelling around the coast causing a few winds and rain. It was a very relaxing few days away playing cards and doing a little sight seeing locally .
It was wonderful to see green grass as its been so dry on the tableland .

A friend from America is on holiday in Australia and decided to fly up from Melbourne to spend a couple of days with us on the farm. I met Linda Carlson Park on the art site Creative Innovation via Facebook.
I took Linda to see our lovely large Fig Tree in Yungaburra and the Afghanistan Memoral Avenue for our local heroes that had died .
Each Flame Tree represents a soldier that was killed from this area overseas. The trees flowers are bright orange when in full bloom.
