29th April,

Had a look around for the evening park over. Found this just over the Greymouth bridge on the left. A area large enough for about a dozen vans to park up. Once we had done this it was time for us to go north of Barry Town and have a look and a go at surf casting. The sun was lovely and no wind except for the sandflys . Sad to say no fish wanted to take the bait.

Made our way to Shanty town on the 30th April to my niece Kelly Clark's wedding. It was a lovely sunny day and once again no wind.  They were married in a small church, with the reception in the Golden Nugget saloon.

This bottom photo shows where the Chinese panned for gold. A very peaceful area. Gold is still being found in this area. But no one is telling how much they have found.

We spent another night parked up behind the Paroa Hotel. Sunday was another lovely sunny day. Went up to Kelly & Micheal's for a BBQ lunch  before we headed off back to Christchurch.
John decided to stop at Arthur's Pass and watch the Warriors win  26 - 18  over Penrith at 2.00pm.

We decided to park over at Springfield Domain (low cost parking $7.00 per van) for the night. A very quiet park over except for the trains.
Made our way to Alister & Margaret's place after doing a few diversion's to shops and doing our laundry at a new laundry mat called Easy/key,  which had just opened last week. There are now 20 of these laundromats in NZ attached to petrol stations, great for people in motorhomes .
Spent a lovely evening with Alister cooking him his evening meal and chatting.
